Our Story
Chari Ruby and her husband, Joe, started Ruby's Cake Co. in July of 2002. Chari is a self-taught decorator with over 25 years experience. Her interest in cake decorating started as a teenager when her mother ordered a small cake decorating kit with Betty Crocker reward points. For several years, she decorated cakes for family and friends as a hobby. After her position as a computer programmer with a health software company was eliminated, Chari turned her attention to full-time cake decorating. She enjoys making wedding cakes more than any other type of cake.

Chari oversees all aspects of the business from the purchasing of supplies to the final delivery of the cakes. Joe helps out with getting supplies, making deliveries and baking during the busier times. Their teenage daughter helps by decorating cookies, making mints and doing some of the fun fondant designs. They also have 2 sons who help out during the busier times by washing and greasing pans, drying tips and straining berries.

Our Claim to Fame
We are well known for creating cakes that not only look good but taste good too. We are often told how moist and delicious our cakes are. We make all the different styles of cakes; from the traditional to the more modern.

Our Specialties
Our most popular speciality cake is the white chocolate raspberry that has white cake with a layer of raspberry sauce and white chocolate mousse, topped with whipped cream icing. We have been told many times that it is the best cake they have ever had; even people who don't like cake at all. It is only available as a sheet cake so many brides will opt for a smaller tiered cake so they can supplement with sheet cakes.

Tastings & Consultations
We offer complimentary consultations and tastings by appointment. We prefer to schedule these consultations Monday thru Thursday, during the day or evening hours. We have made exceptions at times for weekend appointments if our schedule will allow for it. You can browse thru our pictures of different designs or bring in a favorite picture you have found for consideratoin.
